Kevin Ellington Mingus, the grandson of Charles Mingus, is making a documentary about his grandfather's life and the journey to knowledge and understanding that Kevin has taken in search of his family roots. The film needs funding and has turned to Kickstarter for public support. They must raise $40,000 in the next days or receive no funding.
